New Website Helps Ranchers Buy & Sell Livestock Across North America
September 2014. EAGLE POINT, OR. Livestock of America is an online livestock marketplace focused on selling animals. The unique website promotes animals across multiple livestock industries. The marketplace includes livestock listings such as: llamas, cattle, horses, working dogs, donkeys, goats, alpacas, and sheep. "And we will be adding more animals as the demand dictates" says John Andresen owner of The ANDRESENGROUP and creator of Livestock of America.
The ANDRESENGROUP, an Oregon marketing and design firm, created the Livestock of America website to meet the demand for both in-industry and cross-industry marketing. On the site, member ranches can list their animals and products, and the general public can view and purchase animals, products, property, and livestock businesses for sale from across the globe.
Since Livestock of America markets to major livestock industries, it gets animals of numerous types in front of ranchers that normally wouldn't consider a particular type of animal for their ranch. "For instance, a small cattle rancher that lists their bred cows for sale is likely to take a few minutes to check out llamas, goats or sheep. "Or a horse rancher who's looking to buy a Stallion may consider looking at a few high-end Suri alpacas while they are on the site," says Andresen.
Livestock of America includes information on ranches, including farm profiles categorized by state or region to help users find farms nearby to network and market their animals. The site also includes advertising programs for livestock owners to create a successful online advertising program with many different opportunities to boost their marketing. In addition, there are categories to sell products, fiber, and apparel.
"The property and business listing tools are another way for ranchers (or those new to the ranching industry) to find an established business to buy, or a property suited to specific types of livestock," says Andresen. "For example if you were looking for a horse farm that already has horse barns and riding arenas or a property fenced specifically for cattle or alpacas – we can help you find it" says Andresen.
"Many livestock owners also have more than one type of animal, but have to use multiple websites across multiple industries to list their animals. That's a lot of passwords, sites, and information to keep track of," says Andresen. Livestock of America is one website, accessible to ranches large and small. Memberships start at just $19.95 per year, and free memberships for 4-H and FFA students under 18 years of age.
"Livestock of America looks great," said Sheri Hewitt of Woodland Meadows LLC, an Oregon Livestock Ranch. The website has a clean, modern, easy-to-use design that makes it inviting and easily accessible for all.
Just this week, Livestock of America was viewed by people in 33 countries beyond North America - including the Philippines, Australia, Brazil, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, South Africa, and many more. "It's very exciting to see the site getting exposure across the globe," said Andresen. Livestock of America may be exactly what ranchers need to promote and elevate their businesses around the world.
