Hailing from the rugged landscapes of Greece, Serrai sheep stand as formidable denizens of the pastoral realm, revered for their dual prowess in both meat and milk production. With features reminiscent of ancient Roman nobility, these sheep bear a distinctive Roman nose and a slender tail, epitomizing the timeless allure of their ancestral heritage.

The rams, adorned with majestic horns that command respect, reach a mature weight of 78 kilograms and stand proud at 68 centimeters at the withers. Meanwhile, their ewe counterparts, occasionally boasting small horns, embody grace and elegance with a weight of 68 kilograms and a height of 73 centimeters. A testament to their prolific nature, ewes produce an average of 1.5 lambs per litter, ensuring the continuity of their esteemed lineage.

In the realm of dairy, Serrai ewes shine as milk providers, lactating for a remarkable 154 to 236 days, with an average yield of 0.7 kilograms of milk per day. This dairy bounty carries a rich legacy, boasting a 7% fat content that speaks to the nourishing qualities of their milk.
