The Satin rabbit is a breed of domestic rabbit that is known for its soft, shiny fur. The Satin rabbit is a medium-sized rabbit, weighing between 2.5 - 4.5 kg. They have a compact body, with short ears, and a wide head.

The Satin rabbit has a distinctive, short and dense fur that has a satin-like sheen. The fur comes in a variety of colors such as black, blue, chocolate, and lilac. This breed requires minimal grooming to maintain the condition of their fur, as their fur does not tangle easily.

The Satin rabbit is known for its docile and friendly nature, making them a great pet for families with children. They are also known for their good meat production and fast growth rate.

The Satin rabbit is recognized by major rabbit organizations such as the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and the British Rabbit Council (BRC). The breed was created in the United States in the 1960s by crossing several different breeds to create a rabbit with a satin-like sheen on its fur.

Please note that there is also a mini version of the Satin rabbit which is smaller and has a shorter coat.
