About Adaptaur CattleAbout Adaptaur Cattle

Adaptaur (also known as Belmont Adaptaur or just Adaptaur) cattle were developed in Australia in the 1950’s from crosses between Hereford and Shorthorn cattle. They were selected mainly for increased resistance to the stresses of the tropics, particularly heat, and cattle ticks. Adaptaur bulls are early maturing and medium size. They are relatively easy to care: sleek coat, well pigmented eyes and good resistance to heat, ticks and internal parasites.
